As we patiently wait for the arrival of the 2016 XJ in Minneapolis, we are already pouring over all the details that update the all-aluminum luxury sedan to 2016. For now, we have compiled a list of some of the top features we can expect from the 2016 Jaguar XJ.

Traffic Sign Recognition

This feature is perhaps one of the most exciting additions to the 2016 Jaguar XJ. With traffic sign recognition, your Jaguar will scan the road ahead for speed limit signs and other traffic signs. When it senses an upcoming sign, your Jaguar will alert you on the instrument cluster.

Intelligent High Beam System

Featuring LED headlamps, the intelligent high beam system automatically adjusts the headlights between high and low beams when it senses oncoming traffic. Additionally, the adaptive front lighting system works with your steering wheel to rotate your headlights and provide more intentional light where you aim to go.

All-Surface Progress Control

Especially handy for winter, the all-surface progress control is a Minnesota driver’s dream. This low speed cruise control operates between 2 and 18 mph and helps drivers to operate in low traction situations Available on all engines fitted with automatic transmissions will give you the confidence you need from snowy driveways to icy highways.

Commute and Approach Modes

These additions to the Jaguar InControl App family make your drive to and from work a little easier. Commute mode will learn your daily commutes to and from your office and will offer you alternate routes to avoid traffic. The system anticipates traffic based on historical data and real-time traffic information. Approach mode will display a 360-degree view of your surroundings on the vehicles infotainment screen when you get within 656 feet of your destination. Approach mode can also direct you to the nearest available parking space.
